«Каскад», «водопад». На деловом жаргоне обозначает распространение информации «сверху вниз», от начальства к подчинённым. Каждый уровень такой иерархии организует свой брифинг и далее передаёт информацию на более низкий уровень путём a cascade meeting («каскадного собрания»). В такой системе распространение информации можно представить как воду, стекающую водопадом. Сейчас не только деловые предприятия имеют свои cascades. Они встречаются и в сфере образования, а также в местной и центральной администрациях. Передача информации в противоположном направлении, т. е. «снизу вверх», называется splash back. -
